Description Instructions Ingredients

Our BrainBoost supplement contains some of the the most powerful supplements to improve mental acuity. Health care professionals may also recommend ginkgo for a variety of other ailments, including altitude sickness, asthma, depression, disorientation, headaches, high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, vertigo, tinnitus, and macular degeneration.

Features
  • BrainBoost contains the following ingredients:
  • Gingko Biloba -- Clinical studies suggest that ginkgo may improve cognitive function, activities of daily living, and social behavior.  It may also lessen feelings of depression. Several studies have found that ginkgo may be as effective as leading AD medications in delaying the symptoms of dementia in people with this debilitating condition. In addition, ginkgo is sometimes used preventively because it may delay the onset of AD in someone who is at risk for this type of dementia (for example, family history).

  • Eye problems -- Ginkgo may help halt or lessen some retinal problems (that is, problems to the back part of the eye). Retinal damage has a number of potential causes, including diabetes and macular degeneration. Macular degeneration (often called age-related macular degeneration or ARMD) is a progressive, degenerative eye disease that tends to affect older adults and is the number one cause of blindness in the United States. Studies suggest that gingko may help preserve vision in those with ARMD.

  • Intermittent Claudication -- Because ginkgo is reported to improve blood flow, this herb has been studied in people with intermittent claudication (pain caused by inadequate blood flow to the legs). People with intermittent claudication have difficulty walking without suffering extreme pain. An analysis of eight published studies revealed that people taking ginkgo tend to walk roughly 34 meters farther than those taking placebo. In fact, ginkgo has been shown to be as effective as a leading medication in improving pain-free walking distance. However, regular walking exercises are more beneficial than ginkgo in improving walking distance.

  • Other uses --  In addition to these health problems, health care professionals may also recommend ginkgo for a variety of other ailments, including altitude sickness, asthma, depression, disorientation, headaches, high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, and vertigo. A standardized ginkgo extract was reported to significantly improve functional measures (such as coordination, energy level, strength, mental performance, mood, and sensation) in 22 individuals with multiple sclerosis. (MS).

  • Phosphatidylserine Complex - enables your brain cells to metabolize glucose and to release and bind with neurotransmitters, all of which is important to learning, memory and other cognitive functions. Phosphatidylserine increases communication between cells in your brain by increasing the number of membrane receptor sites for receiving messages. Phosphatidylserine modulates the fluidity of cell membranes—essential to your brain cells' ability to send and receive chemical communication. Scientific studies demonstrate that phosphatidylserine restores the brain's supply and output of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter so important to memory, and so may turn the clock back in an aging brain. We also know that phosphatidylserine is important in bone matrix formation, testicular function, beat coordination of the heart, hormone secretion by the adrenal glands and cell repair and removal by the immune system. Modern science has only begun to understand how important phosphatidylserine is to our bodies.
  • Acetyl L-Carnitine --a dietary supplement used to improve memory, such as in Alzheimer's disease. Acetyl-L-carnitine may improve depression. Other uses for acetyl-L-carnitine include the treatment of Parkinson's disease, stroke, and Peyronie's disease.

  • St John's Wort --St. John's wort has been used for centuries to treat mental disorders and nerve pain. It has also been used as a sedative and a treatment for malaria, as well as a balm for wounds, burns, and insect bites. Today, St. John's wort is used by some for depression, anxiety, and/or sleep disorders.

  • L-Glutamine -- One of the most frequently prescribed supplements. This is not surprising since the importance of Glutamine is demonstrated by the fact that it is the most abundant amino acid in circulation . Glutamine is a major fuel source & therefor energy source for the entire body. It is particularly concentrated in the brain, skeletal muscles, gut lining, lungs, heart, kidneys, & liver where it has multiple & critical functions. Glutamine is one of the amino acids most usually below normal. In fact of those with either chronic illness or mood & cognitive symptoms it is rare to see normal levels.
  •
  • DMAE Bitartrate -- An often recommended anti-aging supplement, DMAE is a precursor to choline, a B-vitamin, and works to enhance levels of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter*. It supports healthy cognitive function, prevents cognitive decline, supports better behavior in challenged children, helps improve mood and memory and may inhibit aging (brown) spots on skin. Investigations in hyperactive children demonstrated significant improvements in learning and behavior with DMAE supplementation DMAE may cause headache and/or muscle tightness in some people, which usually resolves with reduced dosage. DMAE is not recommended for use by pregnant or lactating women.
  • Bacopin --Repairs damaged neurons by adding muscle to kinase, the protein inbolbed in the synthesis of new neurons to rplace old ones. This increases synaptic activity thus restoring memory. Bacopin increases energy metabolism indirectly leading to enhanced alertness, awareness and cognition. It also increases mellowed emotions and relaxed smartness

  • Vinpocetine (pronounced vin-poe-ce-teen) -- Is a synthetic compound derived from vincamine, a substance found naturally in the leaves of the lesser periwinkle plant.  Vinpocetine is thought to increase blood ciculation in the brain, which may explain why some studies suggest that it may reduce brain impairment and dementia after an ischemic stroke. Vinpocetine is also being used as a complementary treatment to Alzheimer's disease. It's thought to enhance the brain's use of oxygen, protect brain cells against damage, and increase blood flow to the brain by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodieste.
